How can I provide all needed information to the PA Service?
Last Updated a year ago

In order to be able to perform a better diagnostic of a problem it is sometimes necessary to have a look at all previous state and error messages that may have appeared at the PA 8000 HMI.

For this a function is added to the PA 8000 HMI that is called “Log Book”. Inside the log book all state and error messages are stored and can be seen if needed. This log book also can be exported to a text file and so it can be send to the PA service at service@powerautomation.com

First of all the PA 8000 CNC has to be running.

Another way would be the Gather Service Information function. With this function a zipped info file is prepared that contaqins all relevant information about the system.

To use the “Gather Servcie Information” function follow these steps:

STEP 1

System–>Operations

STEP 2

–>Gather Service Information

STEP 3

Wait until needed data is collected and packed

STEP 4

Here you can see where the ZIP file is stored

These ZIP file contains these information:

CNC1–>content of the buffered CNC memory

user data from C–> User Data folder from partition C

user data from D–> User Data folder from partition D

cncconf.txt–>CNC configuration file contains information about used software version and dongle
